University of Haifa research platform

AdmonTracker

AdmonTracker supports authorized wearable-data research conducted by the Stress & Psychopathology Lab at the University of Haifa.

Purpose and functionality

Research management for invited participants and authorized study staff

The platform enables invited adult research participants to connect supported wearable accounts and enables authorized University research staff to monitor collection status and data completeness for approved studies.

Participant authorization

Invited participants receive a private link and choose whether to authorize read-only access to the wearable data described in their study materials.

Wearable research data

For Study 385/23, approved Google Health data consists of heart rate, steps, sleep data, physical activity, and respiratory rate. The study also uses watch model, battery status, and last-sync time for operational quality checks. Google Health access is read-only and uses the account designated for the study.

Study operations

Authorized staff use AdmonTracker to manage research devices, assess data completeness, review operational alerts, and support participants.

Use of Google data

Why AdmonTracker requests Google access

For staff authentication, Google Sign-In provides basic identity information such as name and email address so AdmonTracker can verify the staff member and apply the correct project role.

For participants who separately authorize Google Health access, AdmonTracker requests only four approved read-only scopes: activity and fitness; health metrics and measurements; sleep; and settings. The settings scope is used only to retrieve the assigned watch model, battery level and status, and last synchronization time for device support and data-quality checks. Participants use the Google account designated for the study, not a personal Google account. The resulting data is used only for Study 385/23 and necessary quality checks as described in the approved participant materials and Privacy Policy.

AdmonTracker does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or use it to train general-purpose AI or machine-learning models.

Access

How to use the service
